Gonzales Lawn Service was started in 1997 by Greg Gonzales, (St. Amant 1985). Being a new homeowner he bought a big 'John Deere' lawn tractor. As his “yard” quickly became a “lawn”, some people noticed the improvement (and the new white letter tires for his new big toy!) and inquired about when they would be able to borrow his new toy. As any little kid with a new toy, Greg did NOT want to share. However, being a nice guy he offered to come do it for them. As they saw how he took such pride in his work and at how hard he worked, they couldn't help but to pay him for his generosity. THUS, Gonzales Lawn Service was accidentally started and now is a full time, full service Lawn Care Company, with even bigger toys!
